Day one – So it begins…

OP_d1_3677SMby Greg Goheen

So it begins, a new job to do, a new undertaking to complete. It’s only just the opening day, but the debut of our trip is definitely memorable. Of course, nothing too significant happened, but it’s been fun. I doubt very much that a detailed record would be in order, but the day is worth mentioning. It’s very similar to being on a BFA sports trip: you have plenty of time to get to know the other people with you. Even this early in the trip, it’s becoming more evident that walls between our two groups are falling and we are interacting more as a singular group. I suppose in the simplest of terms, we spent the day enjoying each other’s company through our travels. One thing still lingers in my mind: in the same amount of time that has passed since we left Kandern, we’ll be starting our work, and the anticipation is almost overwhelming!

I’m so glad you’re all there now and I hope you’ll all do your best to build this house. I’m so sad I leave the group alone and I hope you are not too sad about this! I follow your actions every day if I can! by Anisja
